Do I need headphones?
For binaural beats, yes. Each ear gets a slightly different tone, and the beat forms in your brain only when the left and right sound stay separate. Isochronic and ambient sessions also work on speakers.
I bought Pro but the app still shows the free version
Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy. Restoring is free and never charges you again.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us. In the app, Settings, Manage subscription, or:
- iPhone and iPad: Settings app, your name, Subscriptions, Thetaloom. Or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play, profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions. Or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you paid. iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, Budget and history, or Google Play refund help.
Sound stops when I lock the screen
Playback keeps running in the background. If it stops, check that Low Power Mode or battery saver is not limiting the app, and on Android allow the app to run in the background (Settings, Apps, Thetaloom, Battery, Unrestricted). If you also play music, turn on Mix with other audio in Settings.
Lock Screen and widgets (iOS)
While a session plays, Thetaloom shows a Live Activity on the Lock Screen (and in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones). You can turn it off in Settings, Show on Lock Screen, or in the iOS Settings app under Thetaloom, Live Activities. Home Screen widgets start your last session or a suggested one with one tap.
My history or presets are gone
Your data is stored only on your device. We have no account and no server copy, so deleting the app or moving to a new phone without a device backup removes it. iCloud or Google device backups usually bring it back.
How do I delete my data?
Settings, Clear history removes your sessions and moods. Uninstalling the app removes everything. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is this a medical treatment?
No. Thetaloom is for relaxation and focus. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Do not use it while driving. If you have epilepsy or a heart condition, ask your doctor first.
